Celebrity Waiters

CELEBRITY WAITERS raised over $1,848 for Hearts and Hands last Tuesday night. Theo Abraham shows desserts to customers at the Akron House as Jenny Stafford entertains with a vocal number. Special volunteer waiters at the Village Inn, Mary’s Good and Plenty, Candy Apple and the Akron House donated their tips for the evening to Hearts and Hands.


Swim season ends on a delicious splash

Last Thursday the swim team got together for it's annual banquet at the Akron House and the food was terrific - the boys dove right in!! Thanks Bruce.


Production of South Pacific comes to Akron stage

All-Stars

ALL-STARS - Akron Central’s Varsity Basketball team had two seniors selected to play in the Niagara - Orleans all star game last Friday. Orrie Wilkins and Mitch Griener both contributed points to the winning team. This was the Sixth annual Niagara - Orleans League versus Genesee Region. Niagara-Orleans emerged victorious with a final score of 100 - 60.


Forrestel, Kaufman, Freeman successful in Village election

E. Peter Forrestel, II, and William P. Kaufman were successful in their bid for a Village of Akron Trustee seat and Dennis Freeman was re-elected to his seat as Village Justice in Tuesday’s election.
