Akron Central School bus technician receives top New York State honor

The New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT) along with the Pupil Transportation Safety Institute (PTSI) annually awards the NYAPT/PTSI School Bus Technician of the Year Award to one who exemplifies the characteristics of excellence and quality and whose work results in a safer school bus and bus travel for children.

Cummings earns All State Honors

Nick Cummings, who in 2008 helped lead the Akron Tigers to their best season in 30 years, capped his high school career recently by earning All State honors from the New York State Sportswriter Association.
