Akron-Newstead Senior Citizens News

The Akron-Newstead Senior Citizens have raised over $30,000 toward the furnishing of their new Senior Center under construction at the Newstead Fire Hall on Cummings Road. Members of the fundraising committee Paul Herman, Ray Perkins, Arlene Richardson joined Senior Coordinator Joanne Roach to point out the sign recording donations to their effort. The sign is in public view in front of the Akron Village Hall, Main Street Akron. All contributions to the effort are appreciated.

Dreams celebrated at Akron First UMC

Akron First United Methodist Church dedicated their nearly completed renovation project and hold a Celebration and Open House for the community on Sunday, October 5.

Four inducted into Akron Central School Athletic Wall of Fame

Three Akron Central School alumni and one ACS Coach were inducted into the Akron Central School Athletic Wall of Fame during an induction ceremony held on Homecoming night, September 26, 2003.
