United Methodist Bishop to attend Hearts and Hands Anniversary Open House

Resident Bishop of the New York West Area of The United Methodist Church, Bishop Violet L. Fisher, is expected to attend the First Anniversary Open House at Hearts and Hands: Faith in Action, Akron this Sunday, February 29.

Methane leaks discovered at sewer plant

Village of Akron employee Douglas Heiderman noticed a questionable odor at the Wastewater Treatment Plant Saturday afternoon. He notified Superintendent of Public Works Robert Kowalik and then managers of the facility VRI.
