Golfing with purpose

Members and friends of the Rotary Club of Akron-Newstead (above) registered before teeing-up to raise funds for community projects last Friday. The annual event sponsored by the Rotary Club has raised thousands of dollars for community projects and programs in the Akron-Newstead area. Chairman for this year’s successful event was Bill Lunney (standing upper right of photo). He was assisted by several volunteers from the Rotary Club and the support of a number of golfers within the club and community.

Annual Youth Waterfowl Hunt scheduled at Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge
