Some may not know recycling resources

Televisions and other items left by the side of the road in the Village of Akron and Town of Newstead are indicators your neighbors may not know or remember the recycling resources provided by the Newstead Town Board and Akron Village and may appreciate the information. The Town and Village partner on a number of recycling efforts to help keep items that can be recycled out of the waste stream, helping the environment and keeping disposal costs lower.

Super Cruise set for Saturday

Parts of Main Street from Buffalo to Hart Street will be closed Saturday morning at 6 a.m. for the Akron Chamber of Commerce annual Super Cruise and Craft Show.
