Duane D. Green

Duane D. Green "Duke" 64, of Corfu, New York died Friday, April 13, 2007, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Friends called Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, 32 John Street, Akron. Prayers wereTuesday at 10:15 a.m. at the J. Leonard McAndre Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary Church in East Pembroke with the Rev. David Scheider as Celebrant. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the donors' preference. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in East Pembroke. Arrangements were entrusted to the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, 32 John St., Akron, Ronald P. Konieczny, Director and Veteran.


Sylvia C. Kamp

Sylvia C. Kamp, nee Schenback, of Williamsville, New York, entered into rest April 12, 2007 at the age of 98, at the Greenfield Health and Rehabilitation Center, 5949 Broadway, Lancaster, NY where she was a resident. No prior calling hours. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Greenfield Health and Rehabilitation Center, 5949 Broadway, Lancaster, NY or Buffalo Hospice, 255 Como Park Blvd. Buffalo, NY 14240.


Hattie C. Long

Hattie C. Long, 78 of Darien Center, New York died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia, New York, after a brief illness.


Albert C. Mueller

Albert C. Mueller, age 93, of Akron, NY, formerly of Cheektowaga, NY entered into rest April 5, 2007. No prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 3 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church of South Newstead, 4809 South Newstead Road, Akron, NY, the Rev. Terry White officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Ridge Lawn Cemetery, Cheektowaga, NY. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy made to the church would be appreciated by the family. Mr. Mueller was a member of the Masonic Transportation Lodge, Buffalo, NY and enjoyed roller skating after his retirement from Uni-Punch. The family expresses a special "Thank You" to the staff of Heathwood Health Care for the loving care given to our father. Arrangements completed by the Bernhardt Funeral Home, 130 Main St., Akron, NY.


Albert Poole

Albert Poole, 69, of Akron, New York, entered into rest Friday, April 13, 2007 in the Mount View Health Facility following a long illness. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church, Lewis Rd., Akron. with the Rev. Ronald Houseman, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, April 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Childs Funeral Home, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. Burial will be in the Pioneer Cemetery in Akron. Expressions of sympathy in Albert's memory may be made to the Niagara County Hospice.
