33rd Annual Christmas Auction set for Friday

Tickets are available for the Annual Christmas Auction hosted by the Rotary Club of Akron-Newstead, scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2022.  The event, held at the Akron Fire Hall, 1 Main Street, Akron, New York will continue the club’s 33 year long tradition of making sure Christmas comes to those facing difficult times.

Those wanting to help in this effort can purchase admission which includes Hors D’oeuvres and cash bar. While attending the auction, attendees can choose to participate in a large basket auction, a wonderful silent auction, and the famous “mystery gift” auction.

Angel ornaments are available on the Christmas tree with child’s gift wishes and guests are asked to consider selecting an ornament from the tree and returning it with gifts at a later date.

Akron-Newstead Rotary Club started this Christmas Auction, designed to raise funds to help local families and their children in need by providing gifts and food during the holiday season, in 1989. Last year the auction drew over 100 guests and raised $15,000, assisting 33 families, 118 children. The club encourages all to join them for an evening of fun and fellowship.
