ACS re-opens Board of Education meetings to in-person public attendance
Akron Central School has announced that Board of Education meetings have been re-opened for in-person attendance by the general public beginning with the March 10, 2021 Workshop and Business Meeting.
Attendees of the meeting will be allowed to enter at the High School parking lot entrance. Masks are required at all times as well as maintaining social distance. Those attending will be required to have their temperature taken at the kiosk and complete a health screening questionnaire, then proceed to the High School cafeteria where socially distanced seating will be available.
The Akron Central School Board of Education has been conducting their meetings via Zoom conferencing since March 2020 when the pandemic forced the closing of schools. As Governor Cuomo has lifted some restrictions, including allowing for larger gatherings, the District is confident they can provide a safe environment to allow in-person guests to the meetings. However, the meetings will continue to be available virtually. Links can be found at www.akronschools.org.
Questions regarding the Board of Education meetings may be directed to Mrs. Roxanne Rebmann, District Clerk, at (716)542-5006.
