Akron Lioness organization holding raffle at Sidewalk Sale

The Akron Lionesses will offer a Cash & Lottery Ticket Raffle at the annual Sidewalk Sale to be held Saturday, June 14 on Main Street in Akron. Barb Thoma will chair the raffle featuring Cash and Lottery Tickets. Members hope many will stop in at the Lioness booth to purchase raffle tickets.

Upcoming events will include Pies in the Park to be held July 18th at the Russell Park Shelter for the Community Band concert.  Tickets for the Fall Mum Sale will be available at Pies in the Park and from Lioness members. Akron Lionesses are grateful to the community for all of their support and anticipates other worthy community projects.

Each year Lionesses supports the community by assisting Bedford’s Greenhouse with Hanging Baskets for the Main Street Business District and participating in the Akron Central School Scholarship Program for a graduating senior. This year two outstanding seniors will be honored with Akron Lioness Scholarships.  Celebrating their 35th year Anniversary, the organization is planning a dinner to mark the occasion in the fall.
