Akron Police Blotter
Akron Police officers conducted a number of foot and vehicle patrols March 2 through March 14, 2020. Some of the calls to which they responded follow:
March 2
Patrol checked the welfare of a John Street resident, on concerns of a family member. Everything checked okay.
March 4
Patrol assisted the dog control officer on Crescent Drive.
Patrol checked the welfare of Shepard Avenue resident, all was in order.
Patrol investigated a 911 hang up call on Danita Drive, the resident was ill and first-aid was notified.
March 5
An alarm was reported on Jackson Street, it was accidental.
An East Avenue resident reported fraud on their checking account, they were referred to their bank.
March 6
A suspicious incident was reported at a Main Street business, no charges were filed at this time.
March 7
A disturbance was reported on Sylvan Parkway, the parties were advised and separated.
Patrol responded to an incident on Washington Street, first-aid was notified and responded.
March 10
Patrol responded to a Buell Street business, on a first-aid call.
A suspicious occupied vehicle was reported on Front Street, everything checked okay.
Patrol responded to a Shepard Avenue residence for a first-aid call.
March 11
An alarm was reported on East Avenue, it was accidental.
Two Eckerson Avenue residents were charged with assault, in regards to an earlier incident. They were served criminal summons to show up in court.
March 12
A larceny was reported on Pearl Street, cash was taken.
A disorderly person was reported at a Cedar Street business, the subject left before patrol arrived.
March 13
Lost property was reported, a license plate was reported missing.
Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Wesley Drive.
A suspicious vehicle was reported on Brooklyn Street, they were advised.
March 14
Patrol responded to a Jackson Street residence, for a first-aid call.
Illegal parking was reported on Main Street, one car was tagged.
A suspicious vehicle was reported on East Avenue, it was unfounded.
