Akron Police Blotter

Akron Police officers conducted a number of foot and vehicle patrols March 16 through March 29, 2020. Some of the calls to which they responded follow:

March 16

Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Westgate Avenue.

Disorderly youths were reported in Akron Falls Park, it was unfounded.

March 17

A suspicious vehicle was reported on Cedar Street, everything checked okay.

March 18

Patrol responded to a Westgate Avenue residence on a first-aid call.

A disturbance was reported on Westgate Avenue, patrol spoke with resident and advised.

Patrol responded to a first-aid call on Randy Drive.

Patrol responded to a Wesley Drive residence for a first-aid call.

March 20

An ATV complaint was investigated on Main Street, the subjects were stopped and advised.

March 21

An alarm was reported on Indianola Avenue, everything appeared secure.

Disorderly youths were reported on Parkview Drive, it was unfounded.

March 23

Patrol responded to a Marshall Avenue residence for a first-aid call.

Illegal parking was reported on Main Street, the vehicle was moved.

March 24

Disorderly youths were reported in Akron Falls Park, it was unfounded.

March 25

A disturbance was reported on Mill Street, all parties were advised.

A wire was reported down on Chestnut Street, the phone company was notified.

March 26

Patrol responded to a first-aid call on East Avenue.

Patrol responded to a Clarence Center Road residence, for a first-aid call.

Found property was reported on Buell Street, ID and a credit card were turned over to patrol.

Lost property was reported on Cedar Street, a trailer license plate was missing. A DMV form was issued to the trailer owner.

March 27

An alarm was reported at a Main Street business, it was accidental.

Suspicious people were reported by the soccer fields in Akron Falls Park, they were gone when patrol arrived.

Patrol assisted a citizen on Clarence Center Road.

A fireworks complaint was investigated on Parkview Drive, no one was in the area.

March 28

A medical alarm was reported on Shepard Avenue, it was accidental.

A domestic dispute was investigated on East Avenue, no charges were filed at this time.

A 911 hang up call was investigated on Cedar Street, it was accidental.

A suspicious incident was reported on Brooklyn Street, no problems were found.

Suspicious persons were reported in Akron Falls Park, they were advised.

March 29

A medical alarm was reported on Westgate Avenue, first-aid was notified.

A disorderly person was reported on Westgate Avenue, it was unfounded.
