Bata E. Holtz
Bata E. Holtz passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023. She was born on August 13, 1932, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Irving and Elizabeth (Kennedy) Blair.
Bata’s life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, a principle she embodied with grace and poise. During her lifetime, Bata was a dedicated housewife whose love and care were the cornerstone of her home. Her life was a living testament to the belief that the most profound impacts are often made behind the scenes, in the quiet, simple acts of love and kindness that shape our everyday lives. She served as a beacon of strength and compassion, not only for her family but also for her community. Bata was a proud member of the Townline Ladies Auxiliary, where she demonstrated her commitment to service with an impressive 15-year streak of perfect attendance. In addition to her tangible contributions, Bata served as a chaplain and trustee, roles that allowed her to touch the lives of many with her dedication to servitude.
Loving mother of Duane Holtz and Faye Lone, cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and proud great grandmother of 20 great grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers Pete and Dale Blair and several nephews and nieces. Bata was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Russell Holtz.
