  • Eagle Scout Project Fundraiser

    C. Dee Wright Community Center 11 Church St., Akron, NY

    Dylan Scotch is fundraising for his Community Garden Eagle Scout Project on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the garden at the Wright Center. Paula's Donuts, hot dogs, desserts, etc. are on the fundraiser menu. Information about the garden, its planned layout, related garden programs and plants and flowers will be selected for the project will be shared. Information about the C. Dee Wright Community Ministry Center programs, REACH, Tender Paws Pet Food Pantry, and other community programs will also be available. Masks and social distancing will be in effect.

    Chicken barbecue Akron Music Parents will host their Annual Chicken BBQ, at the Russell Park shelter. Saturday, December 12 from Noon to 3 p.m. Presale tickets will be available from Akron Central Music Students or by calling Amy Cummings at 716-316-3069.  Cut off for pre-sale is Monday, December 7.  There will be a drive-up zone for presale orders and a food line for day of sales.  Participants must wear a mask, follow guidelines, must social distance in line.
