History of the Railroads that Served Akron and Newstead – Thursday – May 9, 7 p.m., Newstead Town Hall, 5 Clarence Center Rd.

Corfu Grange Open House to Celebrate their 150th Birthday – 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10 - Free public concert by the Alexander Firemen’s band at the Grange hall, rain or shine. (outdoors, weather permitting) Bring a lawn chair. Birthday cake will be served and the annual baking contest held. Recognition of 40 and 50-year Grange membership.
