    The Market is designed to support all local businesses, organizations and individuals and organizers welcome anyone with a passion for what they do. It will be open on the triangle of Village of Akron property at Cedar Street and Eckerson Ave. on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Starting the last weekend in May through the last Sunday in October. All vendor fees will go back to the community for festivals, family crafts and fundraisers.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, grating American women the right to vote.     The annual Akron Chamber of Commerce Sidewalk Sale is planned for Saturday, June 19 in the Main Street business district from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plans include live music, a basket raffle, games, vendors, and local business participation. Participants can sign up on the Akron Chamber of Commerce website. There is no charge for local organizations, churches, and businesses with store fronts on Main Street. Vendors will have a fee. Volunteers to help on Friday evening and/or Saturday are welcome.
