Village of Akron tree lighting

Akron Elementary Choir, under the direction of Kim Stachowski, will offer festive holiday songs in the Gazebo at 3:30 p.m. Deputy Mayor Darrin Folger and wife Lynn Folger will light the tree with help from Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as Superintendent of Akron Central Schools Patrick McCabe, at 4 p.m.
Area merchants on Main Street will be open to assist customers with their Holiday shopping until 8 p.m. Saturday offering specials and samples for you to enjoy.
