Akron Central’s competition cheerleading squad completed a busy schedule with honors during the first week of February. They attended the Attica Winter Wonderland Classic on Sunday, February 4 where the team had zero deductions (Hit Zero) for the first time this season and finished 2nd in their division. The stunt group of Madelyn Monkelbaan, Olivia Asmus, Amelia Ewing and Morgan Maggiore took a second place finish in the stunt-off. Erie County Department of Public Works has announced that the portion of North Millgrove (CR-268) from Hiller Road to Buckwheat Road will have a single lane road restriction beginning on February 19 and continuing through February 23 or until complete.
