Akron Lodge continues tradition dating back to August of 1862
Members of the Akron Lodge hope a number of area men will accept an invitation extended since 1862 and come to learn more about the Akron Masonic Lodge. The Lodge is hosting a “meet the Masons Night” on Tuesday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Masonic Temple, 63 John Street, Akron, New York.

White Whiskers Senior Dog Sanctuary was open to the public last weekend, displaying the work already completed to make the facility on Lewis Road a haven for older dogs without a home.

Final Akron Community Band Summer 2024 concert set for Friday
One concert remains in the 101st summer season of the Akron Community Band. This Friday, August 16 they will play in the Russell Park Gazebo, Main Street, Akron at 8 p.m. featuring Summer Block Party music from such groups as Queen, Bruno Mars, the Foo Fighters, The White Stripes and ColdPlay, as well as some traditional favorites.

Lane restrictions planned on a portion of Bloomindale Ave.
The Village of Akron issued an Alert at 6:28 a.m. notifying residents that a portion of Bloomingdale Avenue between John Street and Wesley Drive will have lane restrictions for an estimated time frame of August 5th through September 4th for the purpose of milling and overlay work per the Erie County Highway Department.
