They will have a full company parade through the Village of Akron with most of their apparatus on Easter Sunday beginning at 12:00 noon. The company is NOT handing out candy. SOCIAL DISTANCING BIRTHDAY PARADE – Many turned out to wish Ray Cheavacci a Happy 84th Birthday at his Carney Road home last Wednesday afternoon (April 1). A car caravan bearing balloons and signs of birthday wishes, as well as fire trucks, helped the Town of Newstead resident celebrate while keeping a safe distance.
