Read moreAkron Central School Voters approved a $43,926,821 budget for 2024-2025 on Tuesday with 317 yes, 127 no votes. The budget represents a two percent increase in the tax levy, lower than the 5.82 percent allowed under the State Tax Cap calculation. Phillip Kenline and Erik Polkowski 305, were reelected to the Board of Education. Kenline with 271 votes, Polkowski with 305 votes and Charles Roggen with 170 votes. Voters also approved the referendum to purchase two full size buses, 328 yes to 112 no.
