Akron Community Band will feature Classic Broadway on July 11 as they present their third of eight concerts in the Russell Park gazebo, Main Street, Akron. The concert begins at 8 p.m. under the direction of Holly Meides and Karlyn Backus, with a variety of “band favorite’ selections. All are invited to come enjoy a summer evening in Russell Park, which now has an upgraded, more easily accessible amphitheater. There will be refreshments for sale in the refreshment stand. Newstead adopts moratorium on Battery Storage Facilities and Wind Energy systems
