The West Shore Farmers Market is watching the weather, and planning to continue into October on a week to week basis. The market, which began in 2021 at the corner of Cedar & Eckerson. is now located in Russell Park from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sundays. Vendors offer produce, baked goods, home decor, clothing and a variety of hand-crafted items.

Akron DPW has been installing Hometown Heroes banners in the village. The banners will be dedicated on Friday, September 16 at 7 p.m., according to Kristy Pingitore who chairs the program.
