Stanley Begiers of Alden, New York passed away April 29, 2025.  He was born November 27, 1948. Beloved husband of the late Cheryl Begiers; dear father of Jason (Amanda) Begiers and Jennifer (John) Wemple; loving grandfather of Bradley, Brianna, Brayden and Lila; brother of Vincent (Diane) Begiers, Michael Begiers and Angie Vallett. Sharon Lee (Curtiss) Pagels was born on May 11, 1943, in Buffalo, New York and passed away on April 29, 2025, at the age of 81 at Crossroads House in Batavia, NY.  Sharon was a beacon of love and positivity to all who knew her. 

Michael Arthur Ross passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. He was born on August 16, 1960, in Medina, New York, to the late David and Marsha (Dickinson) Ross. Michael was known for his charisma, thoughtfulness, and ever-present humor, leaving a lasting impression on all those who knew him. Michael dedicated his professional life to serving his community as the owner and operator of Ross Funeral Home of Akron. Jane Beverly (Wittlinger) Downey-Roesch, of Akron, New York entered into rest on May 1, 2025.  Born on January 30, 1931, in Clarence, New York, she was 94 years old. She was an avid collector of Shirley Temple memorabilia and for many years played bass drum in the Akron Community Band and Corfu-Pembroke Band. An accomplished organist, she played for Clarence Center UMC, Hunts Corners Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Akron at various times over 80 years. Sandra Marie Meyers of Alden, New York (formerly of Friendship, NY) passed away on April 30, 2025. She was born on August 14, 1948.  She was married on August 7, 1971 to Loren Meyers who survives.  Loren and Sandi have three sons: Alan (Leigh) of Randolph, NY; James (Heather) of Sacramento, CA; and Dale (Rachel) of Alden.  She is survived by 17 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved and enjoyed spending time with. Sandi is a graduate of West Valley Central School’s class of 1966.  She worked for the Dept. of Social Services in Cattaraugus County from 1969

Elaine M. Deazley of Darien Center, New York passed away April 24, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late William Deazley; dear mother of Elisabeth and Mark Deazley; sister of Joanna (late Robert) Waterman and Mary Alice (late William) Devine; also survived by nieces, nephews and her three loving dogs Romeo, Bailey and Rosie. Marilyn May Hollenbeck, born on May 4, 1939, in Royalton, New York, was a loving and generous soul whose life was an embodiment of selfless dedication and compassionate service. Priscilla L. Patterson, 82 of Batavia, New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born April 25, 1942 in Dansville, NY, a daughter of the late William N. and Beatrice Gilbert Swarts. Priscilla graduated from Akron Central High School and was the owner of the former Priscilla’s Styles in Akron. She enjoyed watching soap operas and loved the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. She was the wife of the late Robert K. Patterson and mother of the late Shayne Patterson. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca I. Patterson of Batavia. Grandchildren Nicholas, Jacob
