Priscilla L. Patterson, 82 of Batavia, New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born April 25, 1942 in Dansville, NY, a daughter of the late William N. and Beatrice Gilbert Swarts. Priscilla graduated from Akron Central High School and was the owner of the former Priscilla’s Styles in Akron. She enjoyed watching soap operas and loved the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. She was the wife of the late Robert K. Patterson and mother of the late Shayne Patterson. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca I. Patterson of Batavia. Grandchildren Nicholas, Jacob

Lino W. Cometto III of Akron, New York, formerly of Alden, NY passed away unexpectedly April 11, 2025.

Leo F. Drzazgowski of Alden, New York passed away April 5, 2025.  He was born January 24, 1935. Beloved husband of the late Dianne Drzazgowski; dear father of David (Sheila), Donald (Brenda) and the late Donna Drzazgowski; loving grandfather “jaja” of Jed (Erin) Nowak and Liliann Drzazgowski. No prior visitation.  A graveside service was held at Lancaster Rural Cemetery (Cemetery Rd. entrance) on Friday, April 11th at 1 p.m. Leo was a Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War Era assigned to the USS Belle Grove LSD 2. A celebration of life was held last week for Kai Messmer who was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and moved to Akron, New York at a young age. It is here that he first discovered his love for soccer. His passion for sports only grew stronger when he moved to Starpoint, where he continued competing and added singing, ukelele, and percussion to the list of his many talents. When Kai started at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute (St. Joe’s), he quickly became a proud “Joe’s Jumper,” excelling in track and field and also finding joy performing with the Swing Choir. Joyce I. Green, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 6, 2025 at the grand age of 98.
