Whitley has greatly improved in the freestyle events, dropping 3 seconds in her 50 Freestyle, 10 seconds in her 100 Freestyle, and 20 seconds from her 200 Freestyle times. Brianna Brunner (Alden Varsity Girls Basketball) Brianna Brunner is playing the best basketball of her career so far this season. Brianna was one of the biggest reasons the Bulldogs won 3-4 games last week. Her hot three-point shooting and her defensive play helped the Bulldogs to victory over Cleveland Hill, Cheektowaga and City Honors. In their only game last week Derren posted 13 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. The Championship game of the Jack and Joyce Silvernail Memorial Classic basketball tournament was a battle as the Pembroke Dragons, who have won the tournament multiple times, had no intentions of surrendering the crown. The Dragons dictated the tempo and physicality for most of the game, but in the end, the defense and scoring of the Tigers was too much, as they earned a 36-16 lead into halftime.
