Committal Service planned for Donald A. Caple
A Committal Service is planned at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Western New York National Cemetery for Donald A. Caple who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on April 11, 2020. Due to cemetery restrictions this service will be Live Streamed.
Donald was born in Buffalo, New York on October 17, 1937 to the late Louis and Hester (Murdock) Caple.
He was predeceased by his wife Janet D. Erdmann whom he married on January 12, 1957 while serving in the Navy. Donald was a passionate farmer all his life as well as a truck driver. When he retired at the age of 55 he started his own dump truck business which he ran till the ripe old age of 82.
He enjoyed refurbishing late model tractors, coffee clutching with the guys, and grooming his lawn every other day. He was involved in the Newstead Fire Co, AMVets, American Legion, and the NY Gas and Steamshow Association.
He is survived by his children, Cindy (Brian) Chadsey, Justine Caple (Charles), Mike (Barb) Caple, Paula (John) Jendrowski, and Jess Caple, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
