Community input sought on proposed Community Center
A proposal for the design and future construction of a Community Center for Town of Newstead residents was presented at the Newstead Town Board meeting Monday night.
After conversations, Town Board members determined that it is essential to solicit opinions and input from the residents of the Town of Newstead with regards to the planned design and future construction of a Community Center in the community.
Thoughts expressed to date indicate the facility would be multi-purpose and multi-generational, including space for a Senior Citizen Center. The lease for the current Center is set to expire in 2030.
One way they hope to obtain that input is through a Public Hearing on the proposed design and future construction of a Community Center at the Newstead Town Hall, 5 Clarence Center Road, Akron, New York at 7:20 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024.
See the public hearing notice in this issue for more information.
