Craig H. Parker
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Newstead Fire Company, 5691 Cummings Rd., Akron, NY for Craig H. Parker where a Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. for both Craig and his father David.
Craig H. Parker, of Akron, unexpectedly passed away on December 27, 2021. He was born in Batavia, NY on January 11, 1971 to David C. Parker and Jean M. Rosenberg.
Craig was a 1989 graduate of Akron Central High School. After high school he continued his education and became an LPN, working at Brothers of Mercy and most recently at Williamsville Pediatrics. He was also an EMT and a Life Member of the Newstead Fire Company, where he just celebrated 30 years of service and was also Santa Clause for the Fire Company’s Breakfast with Santa/Santa Delivery for 20+ years, including his last time just one week before he passed away. He went to NYC after 9/11 and was a recipient of the Liberty Award. Parker had served as Vice President of the Company in 1993, EMS Captain from 1994-1997, Corresponding Secretary 1998-2003, EMS Captain 2004, Third Assistant Chief 2005, First Assistant Chief 2006-2007, Sergeant at Arms 2012-2013, Third Assistant Chief 2018-2019.
Beloved son of the late David Parker and Jean (Rosenberg) Setlock; loving godfather to Byron Gow. Many good friends, especially Robert and Patricia Henning, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive him.

Craig’s father, David C. Parker, passed away on April 26, 2022 at the age of 80. David was also a Life Member at Newstead Fire Company, serving from 1959 through 1975. Through his 16 years, he served as Recording Secretary (1), Vice President (1), EMS Captain (2), 2nd Assistant Chief (2), and 1st Assistant Chief (3).

A brief memorial service and Fire Company Service will be held promptly at 4:00 p.m. and will be immediately followed by a funeral procession to Mount Olive Cemetery at the corner of South Newstead Rd. and Nice Rd. where both Craig and David’s cremations will be placed to rest
