Diane Kohler of East Aurora, New York, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 7, 2021. She was born in Buffalo on May 8, 1949 and was a longtime resident of Akron, NY. She was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Alieen B. (Young) Leiser.

Diane is survived by her former husband, Kenneth Koehler; children Kenneth, Laura and Katherine; and daughter-in-law Sheryl; five grandchildren (Sean, Justin, Brian, Dylan and Kayla); also survived by her sister Elizabeth Hamilton and brother Richard Blumer.
Diane greatly loved caring for children. She was also a surrogate grandmother to Ellyjah, Abygail, Makenzy and Addyson. Anyone who knew Diane, loved her. She was a very thankful person. Diane cared for foster children, along with her children.
After her children were grown, she worked at the Clarence Schools as a Teachers’ Aide with the middle school kids. She also provided childcare for families that really appreciated her love for their children in their home. Diane was a faithful member at Agape Bible Fellowship of East Aurora. She had lots of friends through her church that cared for her as family.
No prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later time at Agape Bible Fellowship. Memorial contributions may be made to Compassion International.
