Dolores “Bunny” Carpenter
Dolores “Bunny” Carpenter, passed away on January 24, 2022. She was born in the Town of Alabama, New York on October 22, 1938 to the late Simeon and Elsie (Sundown) Carpenter.
Dolores was a member of the Tonawanda Indian Reservation and the Turtle Clan and worked for many years at Harrison Radiator in Lockport.
She was a member of the Tonawanda Seneca Historical Society and Book Club. She participated in several Native American protests throughout Western New York. Bunny’s favorite pastime was shopping in thrift stores, always in search of a good bargain. She especially enjoyed attending summer festivals and Pow Wows and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Bunny is survived by Leslie Greene, Gene (Franklin) Ground, Kit Carpenter, and several other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her friends, Rita Sage and Natalie. Dolores is predeceased by Janette Jones.
