Erie County Sheriff’s Office responds to accidents with injuries
Below is a sampling of the noteworthy incidents in Akron and Newstead as called into the Erie County Sheriff’s Office from July 6 to July 12, 2025.
7/06/25
A burglar alarm was activated on Eckerson Ave. It was a false alarm. First Aid responded to Washington St. and Bloomingdale Ave.
7/07/25
First Aid responded to Westgate Ave. and Belmont Dr. Patrol conducted a welfare check on Main Rd.
7/08/25
Patrol conducted a welfare check on Meahl Rd. The Fire Department responded to Maple Rd for a fire alarm activation. A burglar alarm was activated on Main Rd. It was a false alarm. Patrol responded to Main Rd for a roll over motor vehicle accident. Minor injuries were reported.
7/09/25
First Aid responded to Westgate Ave. Patrol conducted a welfare check on Churchill St.
7/10/25
Patrol conducted a welfare check on Buell St after receiving a 911 hang up call.
7/11/25
First Aid responded to Cedar St., Meahl Rd., and Cummings Rd.
7/12/25
First Aid responded to Parkview Dr., Westgate Ave., Belmont Dr., and Main Rd. Patrol and the Fire Department responded to Main Rd at Cummings Rd for an injury accident.
