Ernest W. Pruitt Jr. “Ernie” of Alden, New York passed away June 17, 2025.

Beloved husband of 61 years to Sheila (Neff) Pruitt; devoted father of Michael (Melanie) Pruitt, Mark (Jeannine) Pruitt and Wendy Schaber; loving grandfather of Adam, Eric, Shane (Carlyn), Kaylee (Sean), Hannah (Max), Brandy, Jamie (Adam), Jessie and Jordan; great-grandfather of Leana and Willow; brother of Joan (late Don) Measmer; son of the late Willie Sue and Slim Sells; son-in-law of the late Clarence and Marion Neff; brother-in-law of Susan Hannel, Barbara (Bill) Baker, Nancy (Terry) Galanis, Terry (late James) Blair, Sandra (late Mark) Luderman, Robert (Robin) Neff, Janet (Robert) Parsons and the late David (Babe) Neff; also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Family will be present to receive friends at the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY on Saturday, June 21st from 10-1 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 1 p.m.  Flowers gratefully declined.  Memorials may be made to the Alden Hook and Ladder.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
