Joyce I. Green

Joyce I. Green, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 6, 2025 at the grand age of 98. Born on November 10, 1926 in Buffalo, New York. Her presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. She was incredibly kind hearted, loving, patient and had a great sense of humor, her laughter was contagious. Joyce dedicated her life to her family whom she loved with her whole heart and always offered a listening ear, comforting hug and a guiding hand. She found joy in birds, flowers, puzzles, going out to eat, spending time with the seniors and visiting with her family and friends.

Joyce was a devoted wife to the late Laverne R. Green. She is survived by her children, Leslie (Joann) Green, Larry Green, Lynn (Connie Pakozdi) Green, Deborah Muniak, Barbara (Charles) Kopp, Beverly Zymowski, her 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, brother Allan (Kathy) Duncan, sister in law Norma Reiner (her partner in crime) and sister in law Donna Snyder, whose cherished memories will remain in their hearts forever.

Visiting hours will be held at CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 13228 Broadway, Alden, NY on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Salem United Church, 1327 Clinton St., Bennington, NY on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either Bennington Fire Department or Crittenden Fire Department in her memory.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
