Madeline Mary McLeod
Madeline Mary McLeod, born in Akron, New York USA, 5th child of Edith Breen and Walter Hugh McLeod, was the last of the children and their spouses to pass on, after Neil (Irma/Jessie), Virginia (Ivan/Art), Paul (Marge), Fritz (Ange) and Johnny (Sally). She was married to Gaston Lachance and Joe Clayton, both deceased.
She was a woman of adventure, courageous, reserved, sociable and had a wonderful sense of humor. Madeline was generous and intelligent and had a thirst for learning. She volunteered at Holy Family Parish and Mackay’s CHIP among other places.
Madeline loved organizing, keeping diaries, playing scrabble, doing crosswords, reading and singing.
She leaves in mourning her daughter Paulette, son Andrew (Adèle), grandchildren Tyler and Kirstin, as well as nieces in USA: Diane (Rodger), Judy (Ron), Mary, Sara (Dave), Sharon (Betsy), Sheri, Becky (Bill), Dani (Michael), Patty (Rock), Kathy and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews and the Clayton family Sharon (Dick) and their children. She is now finally reunited with her parents, her siblings and their spouses and her nephew Keith.
She is also reunited with members of her Lachance family: Juliette and Lewis, Ulric and Anita, Lorette and Paul, Germaine and René, Marcel, Roland, Raymond and Lorraine, as well as Maurice and leaves in mourning her sister-in-law France, her nephew Daniel (Colette), niece Suzanne (Florian) and nephew Jean (Louise) and all their children and grandchildren.

Friends and Family may call on Saturday July 2, 2022 from 11 to 2 p.m. at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC. where a Service will be held at 2 p.m. followed by a Burial in St Teresa’s Cemetery.
