Marvin E. Rosenberg
Marvin E. Rosenberg, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2021. He was born in Newstead, New York on August 7, 1936 to the late Howard and Hattie (Cummings) Rosenberg, Sr.
Marvin was a lifelong resident of the Akron/Corfu area except for the time that he honorably served his country in the U.S Army. Upon his return from the Army, he and the love of his life, Dianne Finkney married on October 6, 1960 and they had two children together.
Marvin worked as a Foreman for Whiting Rollup Door and was a long time member of the N.R.A. and the National Coon Hound Association. In his spare time, Marvin enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and Polka. He especially loved family trips to their cabin in the Southern Tier.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Dianne (Finkney) Rosenberg; loving father of Randy (Kathleen) Rosenberg and Connie (Mark) Schmigel; proud grandfather of Chelsea (Bradley) Kukle, Tonya Schmigel, Stephanie Schmigel, and Riley Rosenberg. He is also survived by his brothers, Russell (Carol) Rosenberg and Ronald (Beverly) Rosenberg; sister-in-law, Marlene Rosenberg and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings, Howard (Arlene) Rosenberg, Jr., Lawrence (Helen) Rosenberg, Carl (Maryann) Rosenberg, Gary Rosenberg, and Dorothy (Anthony) Keller.
Friends and relatives may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Ross Funeral Home of Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marvin’s memory to Hospice Buffalo or VA Buffalo.
