Michael Arthur Ross

Michael Arthur Ross passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. He was born on August 16, 1960, in Medina, New York, to the late David and Marsha (Dickinson) Ross. Michael was known for his charisma, thoughtfulness, and ever-present humor, leaving a lasting impression on all those who knew him.

Michael dedicated his professional life to serving his community as the owner and operator of Ross Funeral Home of Akron. He was proud to be a third-generation funeral director in the town in which he grew up. Prior to operating his own business, he worked in the funeral industry as a casket consultant in Chicago until 2010.

Outside of his professional life, Mike enjoyed Euchre, sports, especially watching the Buffalo Bills, and spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of Debbie (Pieroni) Ross; Darlingest Father of Maison (Sasha Gilzon-Lazarev) Ross, and Madisyn Ross; dear brother of Elizabeth Palizay, Late David (late “Minnie”) Ross, Late Shawn (Dawn) Ross, Charlie (Laura) Ross, Katie (John) Connell, Colleen (Pat Jenkins) Ross, and Shandra Hake. Michael was a cherished uncle to 25 nieces and nephews and is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends and relatives may call on Saturday, May 10 from 3-7 p.m. and Sunday May 11, from 4-8 p.m. at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at St. Teresa of Avila Church.
