Mona Gaddis

Mona Gaddis, a beloved mother, grandmother, teacher, and deacon, passed away on April 12, 2025. She was born in Curwensville, PA to the late Alvin and Elizabeth (Taylor) Fisher. She was the cherished wife of the late Robert Gaddis, and her unwavering love and dedication to her family defined her life.

Mona was not just a devoted family woman, but also a passionate educator who taught English and French. She touched the lives of countless students, instilling in them a love for language and literature. Her commitment to education was matched only by her faith. As a Deacon at Calvary Episcopal Church, Mona provided spiritual guidance and support to her congregation, embodying the values she held dear and inspiring others to do the same.

She is survived by her loving son, Perry Gaddis, and daughter, Libby Hausler (Daniel).  Mona was also a proud grandmother to Elaina and Joseph Hausler; and a dear sister to Gordon Fisher in Curwensville, PA, whose lives she enriched with her warmth, wisdom, and love.

A memorial service will be held May 17 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Williamsville at a time to be determined.

In these moments of loss and sadness, all are invited to remember Mona for the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the faith she held.  You are invited to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page, as a tribute to Mona’s life and the indelible impact she had on all who knew her.
