Myrna Foss

Myrna Foss, Age 88, of Alden, New York was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on June 4, 2025 after a lengthy illness.  She was born May 29, 1937.

She was the devoted wife of 63 years to the late James Foss, and loving mother of Jeffrey (Karla), Craig (Maria), Keith, Kelly (Rob) Miller and Cindy (Drew) Sheldrake.  The oldest of the late Martin and Verna Muchow’s four children, she was preceded in death by brother Tom, and survived by sisters Karen and Kris.  Myrna was the proud grandmother of James, Anne, Amanda (Phil), Amie (Ken), Charlie, Laney, KC (Dusty), Stevie, Leah, Nicholas (Larissa), Joe (Violeta), Morgan (Tre), Katie (Justin), Megan (Isaac), Shannon, Lauren (Ethan), Kylie and Caden.  She delighted in her eleven great-grandchildren: Shianne (Dylan), Levi, Mia, Maisie, Valentino, Riley, Everly, Isla, Silas, Renley and Judah. A great-great grandchild is expected by Shianne at the end of this year.

Myrna played a vital role in the establishment of their family business, James N. Foss, Inc., a livestock dealership which is thriving through their children and grandchildren still today.

Myrna was a member of Folsomdale Baptist Church, the Cowlesville Fire Department Auxiliary, the Alden Chamber of Commerce and the Alden Mother’s Club.  She loved her bowling nights and lunch dates with friends. She will be greatly missed! 

The family would like to encourage all those who own shares in QVC to reevaluate their position with the company as they believe Myrna was their number one customer. 

In Myrna’s memory, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  No prior Visitation.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at Folsomdale Baptist Church on Saturday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m.
