Naomi R. Covert

Naomi R. Covert, born on January 1, 1926 in Royalton, NY, and a long-time resident of Akron, NY, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025. A beloved figure in her community, Naomi was known for her love of growing flowers, reading Harlequin Romance novels, and her dedicated service as a superintendent and Sunday School teacher. She was also a proud member of the Dorcas Club for many years.

Naomi is survived by her daughter Kathy (Robert) Artico and her adored grandchildren Kristen Keith, Jeremy (Jennifer Marquart) Keith, and Matthew (Jennifer) Heppner. She was the proud great-grandmother of ten and great-great-grandmother of two. Naomi was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen (late Jim) Keith and Judy Covert; a granddaughter, Rebecca Spoonhour, and three brothers. She was also predeceased by her parents, Herman and Ella Ewald. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC., 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY 14001.

A Funeral Service in honor of Naomi was held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Wolcottsville, 6939 Wolcottsville Rd., Akron, NY 14001. Naomi will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family encourages all who knew Naomi to share their memories of her on the memorial page.
