Jack served his country with the U.S. Army (ASA) from 1959-1971. He completed two tours of duty in Vietnam (VN): 31 Jan 1967 – 3 Nov 1968 and 31 Oct 1970 – 27 Oct 1971. Over the next 20 years, he developed a large website and enjoyed supporting local militaria shows.
Jack enjoyed a cold beer, hunting, fishing, and muscle cars. He will be greatly missed and remembered as a talented researcher of militaria and a people- person who could talk on any subject. Jack is survived by his partner of 41 years and biggest fan, Sandra “Sandy” Schoenthal.
Local arrangements were made by Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC. Services will be private at a later date with a Private Burial in Mount, Olive Cemetery, Akron, NY. Donations may be made in Jack’s name to VA Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
