Robert (Bob) J. Lucia
A Celebration of Life for Robert (Bob) J. Lucia, of Akron, New York, who unexpectedly passed away on December 31, 2021, will be held on Friday, June 17 2022, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the American Legion L.L. Tillman Post 900, 9 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY.
. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 08, 1955 to the late Albert and Ruth (Zurcher) Lucia. Bob is survived by his beloved children, Rebecca (Becky) Lucia, Robert (Robo) C. (Amanda) Lucia; a loving grandson, Connor Lucia; and his loving companion of 6 years, Lois Ingalsbe. A sister, Elizabeth A. (Ken) Fix and several cousins also survive him.
Bob was a 1973 graduate of Akron Central High School. He recently retired in 2021 from the Village of Akron, where he was chief operator of the wastewater plant and worked along side his son Robo.
Bob was a member of the Barre Sportsman’s Club in Barre, NY and the A-ON-DO-WA-NUH Sportsman’s Club in Leicester, NY. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was known to hang out with his friends at his shop every Saturday at 3 p.m.
He was also an avid hunter and enjoyed watching drag racing as well as doing anything with classic cars. He took pride in restoring classic cars and enjoyed showing off his 1968 Camaro at local car shows as well as the weekly Akron Cruise Nights.
