Scouts serve up chicken barbecue regardless of the weather

It may be too cold for many of us to consider barbecue this Sunday before the big game, but Akron Boy Scout Troop 559 will be serving chicken off the grill beginning at 11 a.m. in the Russell Park refreshment stand regardless of the air temperature outside.

They are hopeful the community will take advantage of this taste of summer and stop by to pick up a meal or more.  They will be serving until sold out (pre-sale needs to be picked up by 12:30 p.m.) so those who stop by early will help get all the volunteers out of the cold sooner.

This fundraiser helps the scouts pay for their camping trips and troop expenses.  They appreciate the support they receive from the community and hope to see you Sunday.
