Peaches in the Park
Akron First United Methodist Church is inviting everyone to wrap up summer with a beloved hometown tradition in Russell Park as they host Peaches in the Park…and More, a sweet celebration in conjunction with the final Akron Community Band concert of the season on August 15.
The festivities in the refreshment stand begin at 6:00 p.m. in Russell Park and feature Akron First’s famous peach desserts, made with love and local flavor. From cobblers to crisps to crowd-favorite pies, there’s no better way to savor the season.
New this year, the congregation invites you to enjoy a full meal before the music with a hot dog, chips, and drink combo. “It’s a fun, affordable evening out for the whole family!” organizers share.
All are invited to settle in for the Akron Community Band concert starting at 8:00 p.m., as they perform under the summer sky for one last time this year.
All proceeds support Akron First UMC ministries and community outreach, helping to serve those in need right here in our neighborhood.
“Bring your lawn chairs, your sweet tooth, and your community spirit. We will see you at the park!” they invite.
