Three breaks fixed, looking for possible fourth

Village of Akron Department of Public Works crews continue to work toward an end to the “Boil Water” notice.

As of Wednesday morning three water breaks had been located and fixed on Tuesday and crews are still looking at a potential fourth break .

Results from water samples, which will be taken today, are required before the “Boil Water” notice is lifted.

DPW crews have been working long hours to fix these issues in single digit temperatures and significant wind chill conditions.

Village officials are “Thankful for our Community for their patience and understanding during this difficult situation.”
