Trevor Dean Jones
Trevor Dean Jones, a Seneca, member of the Hawk Clan from the Tonawanda Seneca Territory born on August 9, 1977. Trevor passed peacefully into the spirit world on Friday September 3, 2021 in Niagara Falls, Ontario where he resided.
Trevor was a well-known and prominent singer and dancer, who traveled all over Turtle Island sharing songs and dances of the Haudenosaunee and Powwow ways of life. He was always willing to share his knowledge and wisdom of the Indigenous cultures in hopes of educating people within and outside of the community. He was always positive and joked with everyone sharing his great sense of humor in hopes of lifting everyone’s spirits.
Trevor, proud father of Isaac and Ivy Jones and husband to the late Gregann (Isaacs) Jones. Son of Goldie Hill and the late Elwin Jones as well as step-son to Marie Jones. Grandson to the late Jerry and Fleeta Hill, Elmer Wheeler and Oscar and Janice Snyder. Surviving are his sisters Bobbi Jean and Elaina as well as special friend, Jennifer Hill. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Trevor was good friends with Ray Thunderchild, Kenny Awasis and the late Lyle Anderson Sr, Shawn Kaboni and Maryann (Bear) Palmer.

There will be a public viewing on Tuesday, September 7 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Benner Funeral home in Fort Erie, Ontario (1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie, ON L2A 4N8).
Trevor will return home to the Tonawanda Seneca Territory where he will be laid out at 817 Judge Road, Basom, New York 14013 on the night of Tuesday, September 7 starting at 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8 at the house (817 Judge Road) and 2 p.m. at the Longhouse on Council House Road. Mr. Wayne Abrams will be Officiating the service. Arrangements by Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC.
