Village of Akron issues water color alert

The Village of Akron is conducting routine fire flow testing today, July 19, 2024, and issued an alert this morning that the Village water may be discolored.

The testing causes increased flow in the water main creating discolored water in the line. The Village is flushing at the end of the line to help eliminate the disturbed water which should bring the water back to normal within a day. The Village reports that while water may be discolored it is still safe for use.
