West Shore Market features local each week
The West Shore Market features a number of local businesses each Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the triangle at Cedar St. and Eckerson Ave. in the Village of Akron.
Among those businesses is Kindred Kreek Farm owned by Jeff and Jill Jendrowski on Rapids Road. Locally grown beef, pork, and chicken, as well as fruit and other locally grown food are offered by this Farm to Table business.
The Good Shepherd coffee is also a regular at the Market. John Virag who moved to Akron about six years ago and who loves Akron and great coffee, roasts his own from beans originating from Guatemala, Brazil, and Honduras at his home on Jackson and Buell Street.
He hopes to expand his coffee business here and continually works to produce a superb product. Those sampling his ice coffee and grinding some of his roasted beans note the freshness and delightful flavors of his product. Freshness makes a significant difference in the taste of coffee.
The West Shore Market continues to grow in vendor participation and customer base with local vendors including Holistically Sculpted, Lighthammer Forge, Rustic Gold, The Good Shepherd, Kowalski and Daughters, Sugarmama’s Bakeshop, Kindred Kreek, Tastefully Simple, Scentsy & Paparazzi, Human Farms, Nutrition and Wellness Coach, and others.
Vendors wanting to participate may apply on the West Shore Market website.
The Market is designed to support all local businesses, organizations and individuals and organizers welcome anyone with a passion for what they do. It is held on the triangle of Village of Akron property at Cedar Street and Eckerson Ave. on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through the last Sunday in October.
All vendor fees will go back to the community for festivals, family crafts and fundraisers.
