Akron Lady Tigers Cross Country finishes Second in the League

Akron Lady Tigers Cross Country team took second in the Niagara-Orleans League over the weekend.  The all-league championship was held at Lakeside Beach State Park, where the Lady Tigers raced fast and finished their season with a 10-2 record.  Beating everyone once again except for Newfane.

Finishing 5th overall and making first team all-league was Kaila Szczygielski with a time of 22:16.  Making second team all-league was Kristine Wall finishing 11th with a time of 23:41 and Emma-Marie who finished 13th overall with a time of 24:13.

On the honorable mention team is Jules Rodriguez who finished 16th with a time of 25:00.  With the finish as strong as the Tigers were they took places 26-Whitley Koopman, 27-Sophia Janik, 29-Jazmine Borynski, 32-Emma Esposito, and 41-Emily Snyder.  “Great job to everyone who ran in very unheard of weather (71 degrees) for this championship!  Good luck at state qualifiers,” Coach Bennett shared with the team.
