Road closures for the Fourth of July

For the July 4th Celebration. Main St will be closed with NO PARKING 7am-7pm from Buffalo St to Church St. The Parade route of Bloomingdale Ave to Townsend St to Main St to Monroe St will be restricted NO PARKING from 2pm -7pm . The parade route will be closed and shut down to traffic by 4 p.m. Also parking will be restricted to one side of John St, Clinton St, Marshall Ave and Hoag Ave.

Temporary road closures June 3 and 4

The village of Akron Electric along with the county forestry crews will be tree trimming and removing trees on Parkview Dr. from the intersection of East Ave & Parkview Dr. heading south past the bridge on Parkview Dr. to the entrance of Erie County Park off Parkview Dr. The county will close the road on June 3 & 4 from 6:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. each day for crews to work safely and efficiently. Winter Parking ban lifted in Village of Akron

The Village of Akron winter parking ban has been lifted for the remainder of the 2025 season.
